Anoraks are our most iconic outdoor wear here in Greenland. Our ancestors crafted them from furs and skins. Today, we use modern fabrics, but the cut is the same.
The Ikuala anorak is a great everyday garment for life in the wilds of Greenland. This style is lighter-weight than the Aqutsiaq and Malik anoraks, but still resistant to any winter weather. Crafted from a lightweight, durable eco fabric with a protective membrane, it keeps out the wind and wet.
This anorak features a large hood and adjustable extra-high collar for wind and snow protection. The side zips undo the anorak all the way up for effortless dressing/undressing or for venting excess body heat.
The large front pocket with top and side entry provides easy access to your essentials. This anorak also features snow-cuffs and windstop wrist tabs to prevent cold winds entering the sleeves.
Just as our ancestors’ anoraks were protected by amulets, our Ikuala anorak features our own Meqqusaalik amulet on the zip pulls. So whatever awaits out in the wilds, you’re well protected.
