Materials
This anorak is our most iconic outdoor wear. Aputsiaq is our take on a universal anorak for everyone and every situation. This anorak is designed in collaboration with local fishers and hunters.
Crafted from a cotton/polyester blend fabric, it is ultra-rugged and wearable for hunting, fishing and work. It is windproof and waterproof with a water column of 15,000 mm and a breathability of 10,000 g/m2. For added resistance to harsh weather conditions, this anorak has been coated with a layer of eco DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish.
Aputsiaq has two-way side zips for effortless dressing/undressing or for venting excess body heat. The large kangaroo pouch pocket on the front features zipped side-entry for easy access to your essentials. Inside the pocket, an extra pocket has been added for easy access to ammo and to keep other essentials handy.
The hood collar is adapted to our climate in being extra-high and with a wind block behind the neck zip for protection against cold winds and snow. The hood is weather-adjustable
at the front and back.
Our Aputsiaq anorak coordinates with both the Aputsiaq overtrousers and Malik overtrousers, but can be paired with your own choice of outdoor wear.
Just as the anoraks worn by our ancestors were protected by amulets, the Aputsiaq anorak features our own Meqqusaalik amulet on the zip pulls, so you’re well protected against whatever awaits out there in the wilds.
