MALIK ANORAK

All our anoraks are designed in collaboration with local fishers and hunters. The Malik anorak is crafted to withstand the most extreme Arctic weather. We lined it with PrimaLoft® fibre, a high-tech synthetic down-equivalent. The advantage of PrimaLoft® is that it insulates like down, but dries much faster. With PrimaLoft®, you benefit from extreme-cold protection when you need it most.

The anorak is crafted from a silent eco textile that is windproof and waterproof with a water column of 20,000 mm and a breathability of 20,000 g/m2. For added resistance to harsh weather conditions, this anorak has been coated with a layer of eco DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish.

The Malik anorak has two-way side zips for effortless dressing/undressing or for venting excess body heat. The large kangaroo pouch pocket on the front features zipped side-entry for easy access to your essentials. Inside the pocket, an extra pocket has been added for easy access to ammo and to keep other essentials handy.

The hood collar is adapted to our climate in being extra-high and with a wind block behind the neck zip for protection against cold winds and snow. The hood is weather-adjustable at the front and back.

Our Malik anorak coordinates with both the Aputsiaq and the Malik overtrousers, but can be paired with your own choice of outdoor wear.

Just as the anoraks worn by our ancestors were protected by amulets, the Malik anorak features our own Meqqusaalik amulet on the zip pulls, so you’re well protected against whatever awaits out there in the wilds.
